Hancock Heritage Fellowship Preview
The Hancock Family Foundation is proud to present the Hancock Heritage Fellowship. The program inducts 10 to 15 high school sophomores and juniors (age 16-18) each year to participate in an 8-month immersive African American History Fellowship. Join us for a seven-city tour across the Deep South to get a taste of the African American heritage and culture that our 2025 Fellows will experience.
The deep immersive experience will include a study of African American (AA) history and field practicums at historic sites and museums around the United States.
Michael B. Hancock National Speaker Series
This bi-annual speaker series convenes world-renowned thought leaders and other luminaries for a week of thoughtful and provocative discussions and presentations. Speakers discuss critical and emerging cultural issues that impact society’s well-being. Topic areas include equity, economics, cultural peace, politics, and education. The inaugural program is scheduled for 2025.
2025 Hancock Heritage Tour
In fall 2025, the Hancock Foundation presents the second annual Hancock Heritage Tour in Charleston, South Carolina—an immersive journey spotlighting African American history and heritage. The tour brings adults to the heart of Charleston’s most powerful historic sites.
Through guided visits, intimate storytelling, and reflection, participants will engage with narratives of enslavement, emancipation, and achievement—from examining former slave‑trading ports to celebrating post‑Civil War African American self‑governance.
